In her book, Tessa takes you on her personal journey through life with a visible difference and visual impairment. The paradox between seeing and being seen has been her lifelong path. Through medical setbacks, spiritual endeavors and personal insights, she shares with you the meaning behind cultivating a compassionate look towards self, and others, realign your relationship to beauty, visibility and the skin you are in.
Tessa is a mentor, writer and teacher passionate about honouring our uniqueness, held in emotional well-being and living a life in balance to the body. She support individuals in embodying their innate beauty, to feel comfortable in their own skin and visibility, with awareness of the ever intricacy of the feeling, sensing body. Through mentorship, teaching, writing and speaking Tessa work with people on an authentic expression to face the world fully. Her book tells her own personal, vulnerable story of living between the paradox of seeing and being seeing through her experiences with diminished eyesight and a visible heart-shaped port wine stain birthmark in her face.
